It crosses with a program rather than a person, and it's too long (315 words), but I'm apologizing for the failings and posting it anyway.

This is ridiculous -- were a covert organization. We cant have our people appearing on television!

You can hear the placating tone in Madelines voice as she responds to Operations explosion. Its an uncoventional place for a meet, but the target is well-known in that community. It provides an excellent cover for his work, and that should extend to this contact as well.

And sending Christopher? What are you thinking? Hes a chef, for Christs sake.

Yes he is, but he was a successful drug dealer too. And, more to the point, he has been inside for 18 years. He has absolutely no profile on the outside. We can insert him as an assistant, which will give him unrestricted access to the target, but his kitchen skills will let him appear legitimate during the meet.

Just remember -- this was your idea.

After all, he had his pride. He wasnt a painter, or an assassin, but cooking took a steady hand and a quick mind, as well as a kind of artistry. He knew that Operations and Madeline appreciated his work, but sometimes he longed for more recognition, for a larger audience.

Hed managed the pickup early in the session, while they were all assembling their ingredients. Hidden under a pile of shallots, the mini-disk went into his apron pocket, and then he could concentrate on the job at hand. While the lead chef built an elaborate, nouvelle cuisine presentation, including mushrooms en croute, Christopher assembled a more familiar dish. At the end of the hour, he stood well back while other people plated and served his work, and watched the jury tasting and commenting. The commentator leaned forward to appreciate the rich aroma, and then lifted his head to face the crowd in the stands.

And the third dish from the challenger in this Chicken Battle on Iron Chef ...

Coq au Vin.
