This was sent to me from another group I'm in. It is for a QL zine that is being put together. I know there is a brilliant QL/LFN story at Ranma's already, but I know many of you write in other fandoms as well. I'll just put it on the table; do with it what you will.

OH BOY PRESS is looking for Quantum Leap crossover stories, featuring Sam and Al interacting with other fandoms for a paper fanzine called Crossleaping.

For example, Sam leaps into Jim Ellison from The Sentinel and has to deal with Jim's heightened senses. How would Al handle Sam leaping into Spike or Angel? What about a story where Al knows Thomas Magnum from Viet Nam? Waiting Room stories are also welcomed. How would Adrian Monk handle being in the Waiting Room? What about Lex Luthor? The possibilities are endless.

This gen zine will carry a TV-14 rating. No non-canon slash, please. However if the other show has a gay couple, such as Willow and Tara from Buffy, that's fine. No explicit sex. Stick with the rules of the QL universe, so no stories set earlier than 1952 or later than 2052 for Sam's leaps unless you can explain how Sam gets there. Don't let that stop you from writing that Magnificent 7 or Enterprise story. (Can you imagine Sam leaping into Jonathon Archer and looking in the mirror? hehehe) Just give us a plausible way for it to happen.

Your readers should be familiar with Quantum Leap, but they may not be familiar with the other fandom. Please use enough description to make it easy for the readers to follow your story. Angst and humor are welcome. Please no death stories of the major QL characters.

To receive a free contrib. copy, the story needs to be at least 5 pages of 12 pitch text. Two pieces of original art work will get you a free copy. Only non web published stories will be considered and writer must agree not to publish on internet for one year after publication. Stories will be edited, but no story will be published unless the author and the editor are both satisfied. I am very willing to work with the writers.

Tentative deadline is December 1st, 2005. If you are working on something and need an extension, let me know.

Email your stories as attached files to zinelady @ hotmail.com. (without spaces) Please do not format. I work in Microsoft Word, but I shouldn't have problems converting unless you have an unusual word processing program.
