I've never read an Anne Rice novel. I think it's a knee-jerk reaction to so many people raving about how deep and profound her writing is. LOL! Prolly the same reason why I haven't seen "Titanic."

Reading about this guy writing tie-in books just made me snort in disdain. What is he, if not a fan fiction writer? He takes already-established characters and puts them in a different scenario. So, does it come down to money? Is that the "elusive ingredient" that real writers have and fan fiction writers lack? If so, I agree. Fan fic writers are seldom in the chips, but then, they don't write for the money, anyway.

In my opinion, fan fiction writers are in the wrong profession. We should be doing tie-in novels based on popular television series, and getting paid for it. Then, perhaps, we'd be right up there with the likes of Mr. Goldberg. Or at least, we'd have his grudging approval, not that I give a rat's spats whether he approves of my writing or not.

Lordy, it's a crazy world on the head of a pin, innit? By the way, it's really good to see some familiar faces, metaphorically speaking. Delle, how are you? Still living in the Pacific Northwest? Did you know our Adrianna (Jacquie) is in the service? She actually was down my way, in Fallon, Nevada, but I wasn't able to hook up with her.
