No, this time it was his job.

Could he help it if the powers-that-be recognized where his true talent lie? Of course, he could have told them, but then it was so gratifying to find out that he WAS right all these years. In a way that justified what he was doing, didn't it?

So, it wasn't the same thing at all.

No, not the same.

That judge had been so scathing, so condemning, so .... rude about it. After all, he never hurt anyone.

Okay, so maybe he shouldn't have gone in when they weren't home.

Maybe he should have restrained himself to just looking around.

Maybe he should have only taken the one thing.

Maybe he shouldn't have taken their underwear.

Maybe he shouldn't have broken in when they were asleep, but he had just wanted to see them.

Maybe he shouldn't have taken those pictures.

Maybe he shouldn't have climbed into bed with them.

But, hey he didn't hurt them, did he?

No, no he hadn't hurt them at all.

Why he never even spoke to them, that's what was making this so ... scary and thrilling at the same time.

He could feel his heart pounding, his skin tingling, his palms were getting sweaty and he was a little dizzy.

"Hi, hi. Sorry, didn't mean to startle you. I think you dropped this," he heard himself babble, at long last face-to-face with the beautiful Nikita.
