and got grabbed so fast by the writing bug, were also the ones to be disapointed with the way the series developed, and loose the writing bug - even if they stuck out watching it to the end. So that makes someone like you, who started writing with S2 and continued past the end of the series a rare breed.

A lot of the very first stuff, at least in my memory and the (incredibly) quick spot check I did, is, well - lighthearted is the wrong word, but well - more James Bond-ish maybe (?)...and the later stuff gets darker and angsty-er (or runs away in the total fluff direction, but I think there's an obvious connection there) as the world of Section got darker.

So, yeah I don't know that picking one author will be possible - that's why I suggested two - one early, one late.....

But now I can't think of a late one that has short enough stuff to make a comparion read less than overwhelming....

Hmmm. Still thinking.
