This is indeed very sad news.

I never had the pleasure of 'meeting' Zzoo, but her stories were some of the first ones I ever read as a newbie. Even though she hadn't been active in the fandom for quite a while, seeing her name always made me think of Susan's board, the first flush of excitement that comes when you first discover a fandom, and the sense of being part of something new and shiny.

My heart goes out to those of you who knew Zzoo and are grieving for her loss.
