my thoughts all along were very far from geo's and mo's and closer to pa's.

a gift is to influence and be influenced by the ones we love.

i hold no attachments to its manifestation.

if it gives you a cold chill to ponder buying or recieving a meaningless "secret santa" [a term i would never use-see my attachments] chotzke from walmart i suggest don't do that.

gifts that i would think we WOULD have exchanged had a consensus been reached would have included:

recipes for traditional northern new mexico holiday foods passed down through families and generations [pa's idea for her recipient]

a book of poems by Mary Oliver that I have read dozens of times and think richly deserved the Pulitzer that it won in 1968 that i bought for 10 cents fifteen years ago

i am not afraid to admit that
