Skis: Fischer RCR Skatecut

The pictures from the Noquemanon are better for showing the skate technique (URL in my first post)

There are 8 food stations along the course, about every 5 to 6K. I stopped at every one, chit-chatted briefly with the volunteers and had something to drink and after the 1st, something to eat (banana, orange, gu). I had 2 gu packs pinned to my bib (you can see a raspberry one in the one picture) that I ate along the way. I also had 2 electrolyte pills that I took. I went beyond what I needed, but I don't want to repeat the dehydration episode again.

The think the pack photo is from the start of the elite wave, because the other waves have a lot more skiers. The shadows were not near as long when I started...
