The Council did not elect John, a Majority of Members did (Members put him there)
Employees of the Council did not elect John

John does not have to be nice to any of the employee or the Council Members of Metlakatla Indian Community, he only owes his responsibilities to the Members that voted for him as Mayor.

The Members voted him Mayor of Metlakatla Indian Community to change the way the town operates it various Federal, State programs and economic enterprises to insure that they operate on the principle of equality. All Members are equal owners of the Metlakatla Indian Community, Annette Islands Reserve and have an equal share of all resources on these Islands. If the Members of Council and the staff do not like our selection, that is just tuff, Council and staff that do not like the decision of the Majority Metlakatlans. those staff and Council should resign.

If the Council and the Staff of the Metlakatla Indian Community thinks that the Majority of the Members that voted John in as Mayor are going to accept the decision of the Council to remove Mayor John A. Scuder Jr. I guarantee we The Majority of Members will not accept the Council decision, Nor will the Majority of The Member sit back, the Majority of Members who voted for John will insure that he is placed back in as the Mayor.
