Before you decide that a "wolf" or "wolf hybrid" is for you, please read my website. It will also tell you how to avoid getting taken by stupid breeders selling mutts that are misrepresented as wolf hybrids (wolfdogs). Wolves and wolf hybrids do not make good pets. They are for serious, educated people who are interested only in dedicating themselves to the entire lives of the animal. It is a complete lifestyle change, and very expensive to own one. Wolf pups are pups, not cubs. A lot of breeders will use the word "cubs" to make it sound like they have wolfy pups for sale and add a few hundred dollars to the selling price.
Did you know that real high content wolfdog, wolves, Arctic wolves and Arctic cross puppies are never born white? There are under 40 people in the USA who have real Arctic’s and over 75% of the so called "Arctic" breeders are selling white German Shepherds, Eskimo dogs, Piebald huskies, Samoyeds and Great Pyrenees pups as Arctic’s. This is one of the most misrepresented wolf and wolf hybrid pup sold today.
Real Arctic adults usually turn white until they are between 3 and 5 years old. People sell misrepresented dog mixes or wolf hybrid mixes as Arctic wolves or wolf hybrid pups to try to charge up to 2000 dollars or more to rip off uneducated buyers. High content wolf hybrid pups, wolf pups and Arctic wolf pups are not born with pink toes, pink noses, nor do their parents have blue eyes like the eyes of the Siberian husky. Arctic wolves and wolf pups are consistent in their looks and they do NOT look like malamute, husky or shepherd pups.
Did you know real wolf hybrid breeders who are not misrepresenting their animals would have verifiable pedigrees? So do captive raised wolf pups. They have pedigrees going back to the original zoo stock wolves. Did you know there are no breeders in the United States who have Red wolf, Mexican grey wolf in their pedigrees, even if the pedigrees state as such? Red wolves are endangered, and so are Mexican Grey wolves. Did you know some breeders will actually be stupid enough to try to convince the uneducated buyer that they found a wolf pup in the wild, or Fish and Game gave them a wolf pup after the parents were killed, or some other ridiculous fabrication? This is completely false, and the breeder who tells you this is lying through their teeth.
Did you know wolves and high content wolf hybrids are only born once a year during the months of April and May give or take a week or two? This is a fact.
If you want to get a wolf hybrid and don't have the education it takes to own one, you will probably buy one anyway and certainly will find some idiot who will be stupid enough to sell you a misrepresented mutt. If you do not want to be educated and want to breed misrepresented pups from breeders who misrepresent their animals you are part of the problem, not part of the solution of a responsible wolf hybrid owner. By the way, anyone who says their wolves and wolfdogs are registered with CKC is a joke. CKC will register a hamster as a wolfdog
