Alright, so I dont have wolf pups, but I had to get everyones attention!
Alright people, for anyone wanting a high content wolf dog or pure wolf now, THEYRE NOT BORN NOW!
Female high contents and pures havent even gone into heat and anyone who says there female has now because of the extreme cold, thats a lie. Even arctics, who live in nothing but extreme cold, are born at normal times in around May.
Males go into heat around november/ december, and females january/ february.
Yes pure wolves do have a heat, theyre not fertile all yr round.
If you dont even know this little bit of information, you arent ready for whats to come with a wolf or higher content wolf dog. Theyre a big deal. I didnt think theyd be too much of a strain, until I got my first high content. I love him, but my goodness, I had bad thoughts about him at times. Yes he is still around and hasnt even hit sexual maturity. Wolves and higher content animals dont hit sexual maturity until 2 1/2 yrs old minimum, so anyone who says they have a wolf who is 9 months old and pregnant, is full of it.
Wolves and higher content wolf dogs have to be outside animals, very VERY few are content inside mostly. And trust me, they climb on everything, chew on everything, steal everything, and are INSANELY hard to house train, and even still, theyre independent, they will chose when they want to be house broken and they wont wait for you to let them out.
But anyways. Join the yahoo grounds wolfdogz and WolfdogAdoption. trust me they will teach you everything you need to know and plus youll find some great rescuers and great breeders they dont charge 1000 for a good quality animal. One of the best breeders charges practically nothing and he has the best quality animals Ive ever seen.
