There are so many abandoned, abused, neglected, and dumped wolfdogs, who did nothing wrong. They were the "pets" of people who didn't appreciate the efforts and rewards of a "relationship" with one of these loving spirits.

Wolfdogs need love, attention, connection, exercise, socialization, vetrinary care, comfort and are best as inside/outside dogs, with a doggie door.

When they are lonely, bored, think they have been abandoned, don't get enough attention, and or exercise is when they can be destructive. They are puppies for a lot longer than dogs. And - Those teeth were made for tearing stuff. The wolfdog bond with human companions is very strong. being left alone for long periods of time is very hard on them. Unless you have patience, skill, knowledge, and a big heart, don't get a wolfdog. Don't get any dog or animal. Even fish require appropriate care or they will die. Being a companion to an animal is more than being a macho "owner" of a poor animal who is totally dependent upon you to be able to pee, eat, play, etc. Have a heart - and think before behaving impulsively. The life you save can be a happy one.
