- The Philippines has never won the Miss World crown. It nearly won in 1973 when Evangeline Pascual placed second to USA's Marjorie Wallace, much to the dismay of many Filipino pageant fans who thought that the jury had selected the wrong winner. Wallace was dethroned just under four months into her reign, deemed as having failed to live up to the "queenly image" of the position. Will Carlene Aguilar vindicate Pascual's seemingly unfair loss to Wallace thirty-two years ago?

- No Far East Asian beauty has ever been crowned Miss World.

- Besides the Philippines, there are other countries that have never won yet show remarkable performance this year: Canada, Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica, Switzerland and Namibia. Could this year's winner be among these countries? Maybe, or maybe not! We'll just have to wait and see on December 10th.
