植物、動物與男人，趙薇寧願選擇養植物。

難得置身於一片萬紫千紅的蝴蝶蘭花海中，趙薇忍不住有感而發：「你們看種這些花花草草多好，又可以觀賞，又可以怡情養性，不像養寵物，以前我家的狗死了，害我哭的要死。」對趙薇來說，養動物不如養植物，交男友也不如養植物，原因很簡單：「談戀愛太麻煩，情緒起伏很大，植物就乖乖站在那兒，不會惹人煩心。」

昨天的台北大雨不斷，但老天爺顯然特別照顧趙薇，看在她起了個大早到宜蘭「金車生物科技中心」賞蘭花，宜蘭的天空頓時放晴。由於古巨基要進行國語新專輯的錄音，因此昨天沒有和趙薇參加宜蘭之旅。一到著名的蘭花博物館，看到各種各樣紫藍、嫩黃與粉橘的改良品種蝴蝶蘭，趙薇的心情真是豁然開朗，當一旁有人稱讚她「人比花嬌」時，她還會自嘲是「人比花壯」。

其實趙薇本來就對蘭花情有獨鍾，自己家裡現在種了三棵樹與兩盆花，那兩盆花也都是蘭花。她說大家都說君子愛蘭花，她雖然還說不上是君子，但也想學著做淑女。除了美不勝收的蘭花，生物中心裡還有鰻魚池魚塭與養蝦場，平常挺愛吃鰻魚飯的趙薇，看到活蹦亂跳的鰻魚竟然嚇得退後三尺，反而草蝦與她相處愉快，她還輕輕撫摸草蝦的背脊，幫牠按摩呢。
