Subject: A purpose for Anya, Spike, and Giles.

Just had this idea - since most of the CoW's records have been destroyed, what if the surviving Watchers ask Giles to start writing books detailing types of demons, apocalypses, spells, occult history etc., and he recruits Anya and Spike to help him.

This wouldn't really be a plot for the season, just something to give Giles, Anya, and more importantly Spike a purpose. Plus, we haven't really seen these 3 characters interact together much in the shows history, and I think it'd be good fun writing scenes for them.

It would explain why Giles is staying in Sunnydale - because he needs to be work with Spike and Anya on the new chronicles.

it would give them something to do & give them chance to interact away from the big apocolypse stuff.

I understand Giles and Anya, but I really don't get why Spike would help at all. All he would do is tell stories to them ala "Fool For Love." It seems a little contrived and out of character for him to do such a humdrum job, so I don't think he should be included. But I like giving GIles and Anya something to do!
