Raven might have been informed incorrectly about Proserpexa from her followers, maybe they offered Raven power or something, after all if we are turning the tables on the big bad this year, like a suicidle one, maybe Raven is just on a power trip after all, its not about good, its not about evil, its about power...maybe Raven thinks that once the temple is raised she can rule with Proserpexa...

What if, back in Raven's days (before whatever happened to put her out of action for centuries) she had been convinced by the Cult of Proserpexa to help them in protecting her from the Natives. She'd been on her way to Sunnydale when *insert event here* happened and she never made it. And now that she's awake/free, she plans to take up her mission once more, but gets to the Hellmouth and finds Proserpexa imprisoned, and thinks - "Time to wake up the boss".
