It would either work really well, or it would be a complete and utter disaster. It depends on how quickly people get their episodes written - if we get well ahead of schedule, we could certainly try it out, since we'll have time on our side. But, if the schedule remains as is, then someone will just have to be assigned the episode - I'm thinking up methods of determining who right now.

It gets everyone at the C&S involved for a start, which means they will want to keep track of the fic. It also means that the two who wrote the best episodes will handle the finale, so we know that it's going to be good! I mean, just look at the high standard set by Neil and Inner Moppet, and we're only at episode two.

Much as I love the idea of us all clubbing together for the last one, it could end up being really disjointed and clumsy. I'd prefer to have whichever clever clogs write the most popular episodes handle the finale. It also means that there's more of a mystery for the rest of us, as we won't know what's going to happen until they write it.

I just think it's too impractical and time consuming to have everyone write the finale. But still the only problem I have is who decides what the best two episodes are? The people at Cross and Stake? Because so far all the comments have been wonderful, and of course they have been much deserved. But I mean I doubt anyone would be rude enough to say, "I didn't like this at all!" so its not like we can go by the feedback we get from Cross and Stake. And I also don't think anyone is going to write a terrible episode, so I think it will be hard to decide. We should take other factors in mind in addition, like who contributed the most to shaping the arc of the season? Who came up with what ideas? Who had really constructive opinions? etc. It could be more of a whole contribution thing, as well as a great episode writer.
