Subject: Job Arcs

I know this could go under each character's season arcs, but I feel like this is such an important topic it deserves a thread of its own. What jobs do we want the characters to have next year?

Should Buffy stay as a counselor at the high school? I know we should just try and ignore what's going to happen later in season 7, and this isn't spoilers just spec, but the way things are going it doesn't seem like Buffy would remain there next year. So maybe we should take her in a new direction.

Then there's Willow. I feel her job arc is really important since she will be the only one graduating college this year, so next year she'll definitely need a job. We really need to give her something cool to do.

Also there's Anya. A job could be a good way to keep her in Sunnydale. Most people seem to want her to reopen the Magic Shop, which I think would be cool.

And we could give Xander a promotion or something.

Maybe we could give Dawn her very first job away from the Scoobs. lol and make sure she doesn't steal anything from it.

Then there's also Andrew and Kennedy. It's pretty open what we could do with them.

As for what I think, well haha I'm not really sure yet. But with the season arc being built so quickly I thought I'd throw this out now so we can get a good discussion going. Okay so let's share some ideas!

Yeah I think Anya should reopen the Magic Box but I think she should rename it to make it her own. Something funny and snarky and Anya-ish. I like the idea of Xander climbing the job ladder and becoming more successful and secure. I like the idea of Dawn working at a department store or something it would be a good funny, light episode. Ummm lol I'm not sure about the others, especially Willow. Maybe she could be a computer teacher like when she took over Jenny Calendar's class? That could be fun her and Buffy could work at the high school.

Do we know what Willow is majoring in? This would give an indication of what kind of job she has.

I don't think we ever found out but wasn't she taking a lot of psych classes season 4 and taking art classes with Tara season 5 and 6? Maybe we could go one of those ways.
