He passed as golden leaf on Autumn's wings,
My fantasy trembling twilight.
No air or parable of earthly approach,
Not even regret of near ending,
Can behold the secrets beneath his touch.
The breath of heaven and of sea,
In warmth of lover's chemistry,
From waking dreams to desire much,
The awe and tremble beneath his touch.
The sting of desire gives sin,
With he, as an onyx of jeweled twilight.
No mind to fathom - no hold to much
the splendorous rapture beneath his touch....
