Apply hand lotion and begin to massage the palm of your hand with the thumb of your other hand. This will help to circulate the blood. Work your way over the remainder of the hand and then repeat giving equal time to the other hand. Before color is applied to nails, they must be cleaned and the easiest way to do this is with an orange stick that has been wrapped with cotton. Dip into nail polish remover and then rub over the surface of the nail. Check the nail for any creamy residue. When none remains, your nails will be ready for polishing. Time for color. Pick up a small amount of polish on your brush and paint one stroke down the center of your nail. Your brush should hold just enough color to accomplish this. Stroke the sides of the nail and you are done. The nail should be completely colored in three strokes. Allow to set for a minute or so before applying the second coat. Wait until polish is set (dry to the touch) and then apply the top coat. Don't skip this step as it not only adds life to your manicure, it will protect your nails as well. Sanitize all of your equipment with alcohol and when they are dry, store them away until the next manicure. Nail Tips: Nail polish can be stored in the fridge. If your nail polish is too thick, try thinning with a polish thinner. Too much doesn't add muscle, contrary to popular belief. It just turns to fat. Boycott mayonnaise and butter (or margarine). Get them out of your refrigerator. Learn to live without them. Don't be afraid to try low or reduced fat versions of your favorite foods. You may actually like them better when you don't feel guilty eating them. Stay away from energy bars, which imply that they will transform you into a fit person. Most of them are loaded with calories. Make your own smoothies. Those made commercially usually contain fattening syrups, but your home-made smoothies (without the gunk) are very healthy. Use all the garlic, oregano, etc. that you want. Eating healthy doesn't mean you can't pack your food with flavor. Pack a sandwich made with whole-grain bread for lunch. Breads with high fibre make you feel fuller than white bread. Get at least 25 grams of fibre every day. Not only does it ward off disease, but it actually blocks the absorption of calories. Don't be fooled by "fat free" labels. Many of these foods contain a lot of sugar, which eventually turns into fat anyway.

There is no national school system in Canada. Schools and universities are run by the provinces; therefore, education varies somewhat from province to province. Most elementary and secondary schooling is public, meaning it is free and open to everyone. Depending on the individual province, primary eduation starts at pre-kindergarten and continues to the end of grade 6 or 8.

This is followed by secondary education or high school. In some provinces this may be divided into junior high (grades 7 to 9) and senior high (grades 10 to 12). Normally, students must complete the required academic courses in high school in order to be admitted to university or college.

The regular school year runs from late August or early September until mid- to late June.


New students can usually be registered throughout the school year. Most schools are
closed on national holidays. Also, all schools are closed between Christmas Eve and New
Year's Day, and most are closed for a week in March for spring break. The longest school
holiday occurs over the summer months of July and August.


Universities and community colleges hold their regular classes from late August or early
September until April, although some courses are offered from January to April and a smaller number are available over the summer months. University and community college courses are not free and the costs vary among the provinces.

When you register your children at the local school or school board office, you must take with you:


Canadian immigrant visa (permanent resident card);

birth certificate or baptismal certificate;

vaccination certificate;

any previous school records.

Your children's language and mathematical skills will be assessed, if necessary, and they will be placed in the program the school thinks is best for them.

Education in Canada is available in English and French. Many Canadian parents, even if they do not speak French themselves, believe it is good for their children to be able to speak both English and French. One of the most important things you need to do as soon as you arrive in Canada is to apply for a health insurance card.

All members of your family, even newborn babies, must have their own card. You can get an application form from the provincial ministry of health office, any doctor's office, a hospital or a pharmacy.

Health-care services covered by medicare include:

As people in Canada tend to move in the spring and summer months, these are the best times to look for a home; there will be more choices available.

There is no national school system in Canada. Schools and universities are run by the provinces; therefore, education varies somewhat from province to province. Most elementary and secondary schooling is public, meaning it is free and open to everyone. Depending on the individual province, primary eduation starts at pre-kindergarten and continues to the end of grade 6 or 8.

This is followed by secondary education or high school. In some provinces this may be divided into junior high (grades 7 to 9) and senior high (grades 10 to 12). Normally, students must complete the required academic courses in high school in order to be admitted to university or college.

The regular school year runs from late August or early September until mid- to late June.
New students can usually be registered throughout the school year. Most schools are
closed on national holidays. Also, all schools are closed between Christmas Eve and New
Year's Day, and most are closed for a week in March for spring break. The longest school
holiday occurs over the summer months of July and August.
Universities and community colleges hold their regular classes from late August or early

There is a live and growing community on the boards with over 310 users and we have over 81,097 posts! We have only been up for about 4 months too. And there are always quite a few people on the boards, so you will always find something new to look at.

We also just finished adding an arcade to the boards, so now you can play all of your favorite online flash games with one click of a mouse button.

And, unlike most other boards the posts actually mean something! Every post you make earns you money which you can spend in a shop. You can buy things like user colors, titles, or even a VIP status!

There is also a lottery on the boards. You can buy a ticket for 100 e-dollars (which is 10 posts) and then you have a chance at winning the jackpot, which could be thousands of dollars!!

I am stuck in a room at the end of the Kalinatek Building, after I kill the four guards. There are no stairs, just a couple of walls and a pipe I can jump onto if I kick off the walls. All other sites state that there should be a set of stairs, but there is not, and no way to blast through the walls or get skinny enough to fit through the tiny space between two walls. Wonder if it's a glitch. Any help out there? Thanks.

I've read the "walkthroughs" and they say "after entering the construction area where the forklift is" to kill the guards blah, blah and then pick up the data sticks and proceed to the next room jump up on the drywall and over to the red scaffolding. Pick up the med kit on wall go around corner ambush the two guards, pick up frag grenades, med kit, and ammo. It then says to cautiously enter the next room so I did...well there's nothing in that room and I cannot get over the FREAKIN' WALL...there's a forklift pallet up on the wall and I can't double jump up there and can't figure any other place to get through...ALSO there ain't no DAMN forklift in the first room of the construction area anyway(not on my PS2)???...CAN Someone help, going postal here!!No really I'm pissed!

I've laser "mic"ed the glass elevator, and have gotten into the other building. The 2 gaurds come down the elevator, and i knock them out, take the disposable pick from the utility closet. go up the elevator, use the disposable pick on the office and then use the computer, take the data stick. Then i jump into the ventilation shaft, and go right i drop in the hall shoot out the camera and kill the 4 gaurds in the other room Also taking the 2 data sticks. Now what do i do? The one door says it has a jammed lock and the other door? has nothing. I have went into the upper utility closet and on the roof, but still cannot find what to do or where to go from there... Please help

I've gotten to the door thats lets you out into the courtyard of the defense ministry. I've shot de camera, but when I try to open the door i get an alarm. What gives? I've activated the computer in the lobby of the defense ministry, i've nocked out every single guard and the two cooks, am i missing something?

I Have Downloaded the three cd of splinter cell from a ftp sucessfully.i am able to install them too and start the game.But in the first traning level iam not able to move.

I have passed the second save point on the chinese embassy level where you use the rope to get across the street. I have sorted out the five guards that are at street level and am now running around the street trying to find out where to go next.I am supposed to be meeting someone under a red sign. I can see a palace in the distance. Am i supposed to get to that? hopefuly someone can help. Thanks

I am on the first level, and I can't get my night-vision goggles to work. Are they equiped this early? When I hit '2' on my keboard (the default key for the goggles), the whole vision of Sam goes static. Maybe they aren't supposed to work this early, but after I shoot out a couple of lights....man...it gets dark! Quite tough to negotiate. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

I am near the end of the presidential palace level. I have captured Nikoladze and forced him to use the retinal scanner. Then the special forces show up, and as I am standing there they gun me down.

I tried running while they were still talking but they still gunned me down.

Okay. I am in the chinese embassy at the part where u must find out Nicoladze's secret. Now, I did the "Infiltrate the embassy via upper floor" part. thru the trap door. I enter the room from the ceiling. now, the say I must "access Feirongs data in basement". I kill the guard sitting down. Now they say Memory sticks will NOT open doors. something about heat sensor? I go to small room with a big crack in the wall & thats it...I am stuck. anyone know what to do now??

I've gotten to level 5 or 6 called kalinatek and i've gone through a few check points and now i'm at the point where i come out of the elivator and i kill the three guys talking and then i go into the next couple rooms and jump the wood piles but once everyone is dead i don't know where to go from there i can't jump up in the last room i can't blow the wall up where do you go after you i'm done killing those guys i can hear some people talking as well but can see them.

On the CIA mission on the Dougherty's Computer part I have a big problem I can't solve.

When I enter the big hall (with the 2 cameras) I shoot all the lights, sneak through to the other side, i goto the left sneaking by the worker (or hit him for the fun) i go to the end of the hall and than I hear an annoucment that askes evereybody to stay on the 3rd floor. When I try to go down the stairs the alarm gets off.

I tried everything but I always get the same alarm.

I have reached the first check point of the 2nd Chinese Embassy Level. Right after the check point there is a door that is jammed and a utility closet with a blown hole in the wall. I have no idea how to get out of this hallway. Some sites say you can move inside the wall, but I can't. The pipes block it, and crouching/jumping do not work either.

Hello, I'm playing Splinter Cell on a PS2.
I'm trying to pass the court yard in the nuclear power plant level (just after the first check point.) It seems to me that I have to climb over a fence, then jump on a platform, then grab a pipe and to go on a bigger pipe. and then, what?
I'm stuck...
I can't figure out how to climb higher. I have tried many, many things... but I always crash my face in the snow.

Help me please, or i'm gonna chew my ps2

p.s. don't mind the english... I'm a québécois who doesn't write english quite often!

there are loads of weird glitches when i play, there seems to be a sort of grid thing on some textures, which clearly havent worked, like the shadows of the leaves in the first training mission, and there are some at the beginning of the oil rig mission. does anyone else have these, or does anyone know how i could stop this problem?

For those that need to use a crack, it seems that you have to choose between playing on version
1.0 and getting stuck with the laser mic, or install the patch and be unable to play the game.

How can one get around this?
Is there a crack available for SP v1.2b?

I can't seem to find a way out of this spot inside the chinese embassy. just dropped down through a vent and I am in a hallway with some chinese door at the one end that says "lock jammed" and another door behind a curtain and a janitors room with a hole blown in it.......have tried everything that I could.........any help would be great :>

I need a saved games (quicksave) that starts at the begining of the training level. Thats because my game crashes at the intro sequence of this level, just after a man enters the room were the splinter cell is waiting (looking to the "camera"). As simple as that.
