She halted at the door, ran expert paws over it, then carried on again. Shane watched her criticly. "There's no way out." He spoke in their own tounge. "I've looked already. Anyway, I thought your friends were getting you out." Shadow continued her inspection as she answered him. "I don't care if you've already looked. There's a way out of everywhere. And they're not my friends. I've only known them for...about an hour? I don't even know if they ARE going to save us. They might just collect the reward and leave. Lots of beasts are like that." She shrugged. "We'd have to get out by ourselves." Shane looked at her in disbelief. "So you're telling me that you just dumped your life in the paws of a near stranger just to be with me?" Shadow nodded, and with her back to Shane, she didn't see him grin. "You are as stupid and clever as you always where, Shadow. Now tell me," Shadow had gone all round the pen and reached him again. "Is there a way out that we can take." Shadow sighed, and put her head in her paws. Then she gave the tiniest nod imagionable, but it was a nod.
