Subject: actually the vets who put together the website and the group did serve with him.. durring his whole 4 months in vietnam... they were upset that he used a picture of hismelf with them in it in his ads.. even though that particular ad has been taken off the air... they wanted to make sure people knew that they didnt support him... i dont see anything wrong with that..
In reply to: Ophy 's message, "1) Yep, the whole thing! That was a first for me! 2) Kerry knew what the hell he was talking about 3) My mind was made up but it was nice to see Kerry explain a little more what his stance was on Iraq. I thought his answers were clear. 4) I don't know. I guess it depends on the content. Voters should know what the candidates did or did not support. HOWEVER, people running their campaigns have the responsibility to be truthful and to not take things out of context 5) I don't think so...I'm just sick of lies. The Swiftboat Shit pissed me right the fuck off. These guys never served WITH Kerry, they served suring the same time period. And for the record, I don't care if you haven't saved one life or you have saved 1,000. All men and women who served honorably in war are heros." on 23:26:05 10/01/04 Fri

[> [> [> John Kerry served 16 months "in Vietnam." That is, to say he served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. Which, incidentally, is a factor of infinity times more time than Bush and Cheney (and Ashcroft) served in Vietnam. Secondly, not all the "Swiftboat Vets" served with Kerry, in any capacity, in Vietnam (most notably, John O'neill.) So, even if you think that everything the "Swiftboat Vets" say are absolutely accurate (which would make you a fucking moron), Kerry's service record still trumps Bush+Cheney's. Note that Bush never dares to compare his military service record to Kerry's. -- WB, 02:22:26 10/02/04 Sat (adsl-65-66-16-61.dsl.okcyok.swbell.net/65.66.16.61)

[> [> [> [> I got drunk with Hootie and the Blowfish! By that, I of course mean that I got drunk in Orlando, where they performed at Universal Studios. They probably got drunk there, too. So it's like we got drunk together! And Hootie is a rotten bastard that is too chickenshit to take a shot of jaeger. -- jokey, 12:22:45 10/02/04 Sat (cae88-19-251.sc.rr.com/24.88.19.251)
