What is it about George Bush that scares you. I mean I can see why Jokey my not want Bush, being a military family and all. Even if Kerry had been elected it's not like he would un-ass our troops in the Middle East tomorrow no Kerry would finish the job as well. Maybe now that the job is almost finished he can get on with more. Fact is I think Clinton was a Fuck head, You think Bush is a Fuck Head, The next guy is gonna be a Fuck head, and the guy after that. LMAO at blind. I have drudged threw many different forums that had political topics posted everywhere and the majority of it was I hate Bush, Bush sux, blah blah blah. Like for here for instance enough Bush bangin to impregnate all the women who visit this board. I never said anything I just sat back with a "we'll see smirk" We were not blind, we were quiet.

My honest opinion - How can we know how good of a president GWB can be? Right when he took office he was clobbered by Mr. Clinton's screw ups (Non-Economical remark) in the Middle East. I know war is shit and we have lost americans over there and yes it really blows. What did you expect the guy to do. It would be like if we said Pearl Harbor was bombed ahhh fuck it, pass the salad.

[> [> [> Here: -- Ophy, 20:55:35 11/03/04 Wed (NoHost/65.171.118.228)

Oh, I'm scared for a great number of reasons. Before I say them I'd like to add that just because Carrie is in a military family and I'm not, doesn't mean that I am GREATLY concerned about the troop's well-being over there. Sure, it hits a whole helluva lot closer to home. That, I won't deny.

And to be fair, its not JUST G.W., but his whole administration. Before 9/11, John Ashcroft did not only deny FBI Counterterrorism requests for $58 million, but he cut in 14 programs including a $65 million cut that grants equipment, including radios and decontamination suits and training for counterterrorism.

Watching the video of him sitting in that classroom on 9/11 not doing a gaddamn thing doesnt sit well with me. Thats not a leader. Not only was he sitting there for those 7 minutes, he was in the building for another 20 minutes. Not wanting to scare the children, he says. The nation is under attack, people want him dead! So he thinks the best place to stay is in an elementary school?! Real smart.

I'm terrified of his close friendships with our so-called enemy. WHy, on 9/13, did he allow the saudis to fly back home? Because they were in the Carlyle Group. Huge investors of the Bush family....$1.46 Billion went from the Saudies to the Bushes in all.

So then we go into Afghanistan....There were more police officers in the state of New York than there were in Afghanistan. But we want to go into Iraq! There are WMD's there! .....
oops.

So why are were there again? Get rid of saddam! Let the Iraqis have democracy! You know what? What right do we have to tell the Iraqis how to live? Democracy isnt in their culture!

So then good ol George cut the soldiers bonus pay by 33% and assistance to their families pay by 60%. That seems like the right thing to do. SO is cuttindg 1.3 billion in veterans health care.

No child left behind? Sure its a good idea. Too bad it received less than half of its full funding.

The environment is doing the toilet since he's been in office. Toxic waste cleanup funding dropped by 52%. What happened to the Kyoto treaty? It reduces greenhouse gas emissions from industrial countries. Bush withdrew from that.

What about health care? Medicare has to pay whatever drug companies want to charge for prescriptions that are now going up 3 times the rate of inflation.

I don't expect you to jump up and say OH MY GOD! BUSH IS BAD! However, you can't hide from the truth.

I agree with you on more of those than you think. BTW way I should not have used Carrie's family in my statement, sorry. I spent 7yrs as an infantryman in the ARMY I know most people support our troops even if they don't support the cause. I truely was curious as to why you felt scared. I have heard no one use that adjective to describe their fellings about a president since i made the comment about clinton when I was in the ARMY. I was scared because it seemed like everytime I turned around there were incidents like the USS Cole and the African Embassies and what happened in Mogadishu during the Clinton administration. I thought someone is really going to take advantage of us because we were not saying ok look stop Fing with us or were are gonna jump on your ass.... And someone did. So I hope Mr. Bush will listen to his people and fix some of the nasty he shit he has done.

[> [> [> Yeah, if Kerry were elected I agree that there probably would be a shitty exit plan for Iraq but at least there would have been an exit. I think Oph has every right to be scared, I'm scared too, and scared is an excellent word choice. I don't understand your Pearl Harbor comment though, bullfrog, because this war that we're in is like if we decided to retaliate against Canada after the whole Pearl Harbor attack. -- linds, 22:18:39 11/03/04 Wed (adsl-69-153-117-92.dsl.ltrkar.swbell.net/69.153.117.92)

Not sure what your Canada remark is about. Canada was an allies of ours during that time. In fact they were a major player in the creation of the United Nations afterwards.

My point about pearl harbor is we didn't just sit back and do nothing about it. We were attacked on our soil by Japan and ended up in Germany too. We were once again attacked on our soil by terrorist and began the war on terrorist and ended up in Iraq. Iraq has funded more than enough terrorist communities to retaliate against them, cut off the money you cut off the source. Sure we have no right to tell them how to live but what should we do after we pretty much tear it down just leave? We never have. Do I think all the reason we went into Iraq are just? No I don't.

[> [> Ophy, it's not a matter of them being blind, but, rather, being fucking stupid. They were the idiots that bought into the Swiftboat ads, the idiots that wouldn't vote for someone that "looked French", the idiots that think Kerry wanted to "ban the Bible". the idiots that blame Kerry for raising their city sales tax, the idiots that looked back on the last 3 1/2 years and said "Shitchyeah, I want 4 more years of this." According the NPR, exit polling showed that post graduate-educated people voted for Kerry more than 2 to 1. You just have to recognize that a vast majority of human beings are incredibly fucking stupid. -- WB, 19:43:44 11/03/04 Wed (adsl-65-70-119-195.dsl.okcyok.swbell.net/65.70.119.195)

[> [> [> [> [> [> What the hell is your point? Learn to fucking read. I was telling Ophy that she shouldn't be surprised by idiocy. The "thesis" of my paragraph was that a vast majority of human beings are stupid. That still is my main point. Most of the people in Nigeria, Guam, and Cambodio are fucking stupid. My statement isn't exclusively supported by what happened in yesterday's election, and I never even indicated that it was. If Ophy were to consider that a vast majority of human beings (including American human beings) are fucking stupid, then (my argument is that) she wouldn't be surprised as to why the election turned out the way it did.
