Well I go away for the weekend and look at all the posting! Let me tell you all about my fun filled weekend cuz it's something different to read.

Thursday night, Thom's mom and her friend came up from Cement, Ok. and spent the night. Then we left out at 6 am from Tulsa and drove to Center, Tx. We went there to clean out Thom's grandmothers house. She passed away on June 10th. I went along mainly to drive her Buick back to Tulsa. So after many hours of loading lots of crap into a giant U-Haul, I pack up the car and the dog and take off for Dallas. I thought I'd spend the night there at MY grandmothers house and leave for Tulsa the next morning. Well about 60 miles out of Center, the car breaks down. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. So I'm stranded at a Texaco for 4 hours until Thom finally finds me. I don't know why he doesn't listen to me better. So that scratched my Dallas plans.

So instead of Thom, his mom, and her friend leaving out Tuesday like they were planning, we all left out of Center at 6 am this morning. We drove 7 hours to Cement, unloaded a bunch of stuff, then drove back to Tulsa.

All this might not sound like a big deal except that for the 6 hours it took to get to Center, Thom's mothers car had some hig pitch squeal that nearly made me suicidal. And the fact that she's crazy and wanted to keep everything in the house including the SALT sure didn't make it anymore pleasant.

The good things that came out of this trip were the cool retro furniture and the quality time I got to spend with Thom. It was much needed. Oh and Starbucks Double Shots are my new best friend.
