Subject: Did you watch theater or Director's cut. I missed it in theater - and DTS was only avail on Director's cut - so that is what I watched. Then I had to see how the ending differed from original. DC is better.

If I knew it was a different ending I would have flipped the disc over and watched the theatrical release too. -- Kinglex, 14:59:09 07/19/04 Mon (wkstn229-193.buildingd.georgetown.edu/141.161.229.193)

Instead of going back in the womb and offing himself (brilliant really, makes you wonder about those other miscarriages!) he views a tape of himself meeting the girl and goes back and upsets her so she doesn't like him. She chooses to live with her mom - and happily ever after. He becomes a therapist and during the alternate endings he sees her on the street and they make eye contact then 1) passing her by 2) following her. I saw them all one right after the other - so not sure which was on the theatrical release. I am not sure if they skipped the bit where she mentions the miscarriages in the Theatrical release - probably, wouldn't have made sense.

Now I'm confused. I saw the ending where he went back into the womb... was that the directors cut or was it the theatrical version? I didn't see any of the other endings... but I'll tell you that the womb would be the best in my opinion for the movie's sake.

the womb was definitely the Director's Cut. I can see the theatrical ending being insisted upon by some dumb executive in a suit... much like the one Im wearing today.
