For a long time now my hope has been found in hell, no need to steal it, for there I lie with it. Sometimes when there seems to be ONLY hell then heaven arises within it, I am finding. What a surprise.

So long have I been impelled downward that these movements into spaciousness and bliss have been going unnoticed until today. But now that I am here I remember this place well.

I remember a Japanese poem by Narihara:

"I always knew that one day I would take this road
But yesterday I did not know that it would be today."
