Hi Kate;

I can’t really call myself a human being. What generally goes for human being is a physical body that is you, with a mind “in” it, which moves through the space-time world. That creature that I see, that is supposed to be me, I am quite sure is a mental image in consciousness. Further, I do not see this “world” as real, and object-ive either, it too being a mental construct. Paradoxically, that does not mean no physical human being exists, nor does it mean that no world exists. What it does mean, is that I have discovered something new out in front of my face. I see the consciousness. I was hoping that you had seen it too. I get excited about it, like a little kid. For me, and I will get to that me, it is a strange world, made of one part consciousness, and one part quality, qualities derived from the material world. Like the Hindu analogy of images projected on a blank screen. It is as if this consciousness is peeking out of the cosmos and becoming aware of itself for the first time….and I am that process of seeing. So when I examine where “I” fit into this picture, it continues to expand in an awesome way. Because I am consciousness, I am that very ground or source of all knowingness. In effect, I am the seer of all, just as you are. But unlike Franklin Wolff, I am more than just consciousness, or the Atman as he calls it. I am also the fully physical, flesh and blood living biological man. A man that is intimately and inextricably connected to the physiosphere itself. And this paradox is unfortunately so difficult to resolve, that most let go right here of thinking about it. But there is more than just consciousness, don’t you think? There is more than just the “idea” that we are real people. In short, I think we must accept the relative world also, as well as this consciousness.

I came to post, because I think Saniel is saying this too. It sounded to me like he accepts the Absolute and Relative, in a Non-dual synthesis. This is the core of the core wound. If you can see how they go together, you will heal that wound. But you can’t do it just by BEING. And you can’t do it by relativistic understanding. You must put the two parts of our nature, Divine and human together, and make some sense of IT. It is this wholeness I came to talk about, but it feels like everybody is too busy.

ZERO.
