One of my second thoughts, i have them all the time after i speak out, is: one thing we know about Mutuality is that it cannot be truly entered until one is Awake. so, to envision Global Mutuality is to envision a lot more of us Awake! And in the mean time, i see two necessities: one is that our commitment to mutuality within our sangha be fortified and activated -- this is really the leading edge, i feel, of this work and we are being called upon now, I also feel, to really get with it and put this foremost to the degree that we can, to really stay open and accountable and current with each other, to not divert our own conflicts through the avenues of gossip and rumor, to stretch our ability to hold the Mysterious Other -- the call to OTHER REALIZATION. Two, i feel we need to begin really investigating what it means to hold those not Awake in our hearts in a different way, to somehow more actively hold their Being in Onlyness in all our interactions, and in the laboratory of practice to begin to discover how Mutuality can be the larger container and the guiding discipline of all our relating, even with those we perceive as different, unevolved, not Rotting, not Hungry -- to activate the Bodhisattvic impulse, to feed that fire, in our feeling hearts and in our discriminative intelligences. i don't know what this will look like. Only "us" can "am" that Divine Espression.
