For a year and a half after my second birth I was the only Waking Downer in Portland and, I thought, in the whole Northwest. It was SO lonesome. I remember going through years and years of endless desolation...so endless that they are probably still going on somewhere.

It's hard. My heart aches for you. Thank you for speaking this. Thank you for being such a delight on this forum. Your energy, your feedback, your depth of feeling, your discerning intelligence...ahhhh....such food to my heart.

And I know what you mean about disembodied communication. Not quite the same. Still I find it quite lovely that when I'm hurting I always have a place to speak it and be heard. Thank you again. I hear you.
