This is very helpful Cassie, About it being now conscious and not automatic! This is the key I think. And I don't want to get really rigid about this also. But over all just feel what I'm trying to avoid instead of automatically going for that little temporary relief that doesn't satisfy anyway. I can actually see myself disociate as I reach in the bag of chocolate chips. my mind goes off to the side of what I am doing, and intentionally makes me unconscious of myself in the moment, like pulling the wool over my eyes. I am excited about this, and for me too, standing as I am in my own terror is a great portal. By the way I cleaned to top of the stove off last night!! That pasta sauce was getting really old and has almost become one with the stove. Thanks again Cassie, you are a great teacher for me!!
