Don't worry, it gets worse. And better. I think keeping in mutuality will actually make it more bearable. After my second birth I became something of a recluse and went through long periods of endless desolation and god knows what all. If I had been in mutuality I think I would have passed through it all more easily and at least I wouldn't have felt so alone.
