The thing is that the mind doesn�t realize that Being is in charge. The mind has never learned to trust anything �Other� or �outside� itself. It�s been thinking that "it" is IT. �I�m it, I have to take care of everything, it�s all up to me (Oh no what�ll I do now?).�

THAT�S why it panics so easily. That�s why it makes such a fuss about getting things right, making corrections quickly, fixing it all up. Because otherwise we�re going to go down that chute and never come back. Gone. Zippo. Nada. Or so it supposes.

The truth is that although the body can be endangered, and appropriate action sometimes must be taken, Being can will and does this, all without a blink of the eye. Immediately and totally. Being can be trusted to carry the day. No matter what. The mind siezes and Being calmly rules. You see it all the time in emergency situations. Time actually slows down, the right action takes place and somehow the whole thing happens in a framework that contains it, holds it and enables what ever is necessary to occur. The mind blanks out and Being takes over. Now what about life, everyday life. Can the same framework happen here?
