Well, by doing a "whois" on the I.P. addy, they could possibly find out if the person is accessing the site from the workplace with a static line, and the name, address, and contact info for that company.

So what the fuck?

Unless they know where each of us work, that info is useless. And even still, that doesnt prove jack shit.

I once had someone find out my contact info when I was posting from a company computer. They threatened to have me fired by contacting my companies network administrator and informing them that "one of their employees is posting crap on company time".

Two problems with that.

1. We have about 300 employees at work.

2. I am the network administrator.

Sure enough the asshole emailed me, in an attempt to get me fired!

People are dumb.
