I am 55 yrs. old worked for a Major Electric Utility Company in a small town in Oklahoma. Worked there nine years and never had any thing negative put in my work file.

While working one evening I was attacked by the Company Bully that has a long history of workplace violence. He and the supervisor were one time nieghbors and drinking buddies.

I had a total knee replacement about a year prior to him attacking me, I did a lot of rehab to get it in shape to keep my job and it was doing great.

The co-worker was intoxicated and when he attacked me he re-injured my knee and also my shoulder.

I made a police report following the attack, but did not press charges for his retailiation, it was my hopes this would show him this type of behavior had to stop.

I reported this to my supervisors boss, then went to the emercengy room. X-rays were taken and showed damaged done to my knee and shoulder and to go to my Dr.

The following day we each told our story and I was told to go home and get to the Dr. and report back to work when I had a release.

I was home a couple of hours and rec. a call from work and they said I was terminated effective immediately and then they had their lawyer prevent me from getting medical attention thru workmans comp.

They made up a lie and said the other employee was off the clock when he attacked me and he is still there.

This was 7 months ago and I still have my injuries and of course now devasted about losing my job.

I am union but arbitration isn't til January.

I feel this is just out Illegal.
