I am very interested in completing either my MA or PhD in Transpersonal Psychology. I did my undergrad degree at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. I have since moved to Buffalo, NY. I am having a hard time finding any sort of MA in TP programs in NY state or on the East Coast. I am particularly looking for one through a State University rather than a private institution (if that is possible, for cost reasons)
**Any suggestions?**

These are my specific questions:

1. Is it better to try to do the MA in TP or just get the MA in Psych out of the way and focus on TP for the PhD? I want to be licensed and able to practice as a counselor/therapist. A lot of the distance programs I've found only give certificates.

2. Does anyone know of a State University that offers a graduate program in Pyschology that at least incorporates Transpersonal courses, if not focusing on it entirely?

3. Do grants exist for people wanting to go into this field of study? How does one find out about them?
