Subject: John "Snowy" Currier

My father was sent to Portishead from 1939 aged 11 to 1945 and was full of tales about his time there, particularly igniting cigarettes from the light fitting!
Sadly, he passed away on October 13th 2007 after a brave, but uneven, battle with lung cancer.
He was delighted to see this site and would have attended the 2007 reunion, but his illness was too advanced by then.
Thank you to everyone who initially put this site together as it made his day to see it all again.
