May I point out that one of the reasons for christianity being so close to paganism is when they were converting people they bent the beliefs to their needs so that the pagans would accept the religion easier and not feel like they were being forced into anything. Christmas for example perhaps the biggest example. Jesus was not born in December in fact he was born I believe in January, i forget i would have to look that up again on some old books. Christmas was a pagan holiday falling on December 22nd celebrating the new God's birth. Begining another circle of life. Forgive me I'm going to be short I am very tired. Just one example.
