Well vince, i wouldn't say i see it as much as trying to discredit jesus as i see it more as discrediting what ppl think jesus said or meant and got wrong. Obivousally i think jesus was on a wise spiritual path or heading the right way. Now jesus made very few claims about himself and to what i know he never claimed to be god, or divine both were titles were i guess u could say bestowed upon him after he died. Now to show all the faults of the church is not saying jesus was wrong or that this is what jesus would do BUt, it is showing that some how most of these ppl are seriouslly get somethign screwed up and even though it wouldn't support what jesus would do to them what they didi could to them probably easily be justified by scripture. Even other religions who chose to not be christian aren't nesercerailly turning away from jesus's teaching. Infact i'd say even if they are not chiristian many other memebers of religions would still support much of what jesus preached if not all. I think what jesus preached either became twisted around for power, or people were not ready to fully comprehend it so jesus perhaps left that journey up to us. Vince have u seen stimgata, how at the end it said that what was found to thought of been a gospel written by jesus was basically denied by the church and kept secert. If that is true why,m would they do such a thing unless it seriouslly challenged the churches authority? Even if the bible is translated correctly you have to have faith man got it right, and that it is the word of god. For now i do not trust man made instutions. ALso the problem with defining not true christians is that their are definately so many non christians claiming to be christians it is kind of hard not lump them together. Just look at all the stuff the cardinals of the catholic church turned a blind eye to for so long. Normally religious desicions tend to be made by the higher church authorities and even though they weren't following the path jesus would have taken espically at the authoritative level of the church much corruption can be found.I thi
