Subject: David Blunkett's Religious Hatred Law Author: Vince [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 09:11:45 07/09/04 Fri Anyone here have any thoughts on David Blunkett's plans to push for a religious hatred law? Hatred against any people is wrong, but the problem is that some think that this may be extended to people who air their views of disagreement against another religion. If this is the case, eventually, site's like this could well be closed. Atheists will not be able to disagree with any religion, and groups like the JWs and Mormons could well be stopped from going door to door. We are maent to live in a democratic society and have free speech. As long as we are respectful one to another, when we disagree on our respective viewpoints, I cannot see what the problem is.
