It seems to me that Donald is using the old Watchtower "thoecratic strategy" or "terminological inexactitudes" of denying they ever said such a thing or that everyone else got the wrong idea.
Just as they did after the dates for Armageddon in 1914, 1925, 1942 and 1975.
Seems that Donald is using the same double standards.
Saying he was trying to appease those on the Reachout by agreeing that the 144,000 was NOT literal.
Please when has a JW ever tried to appease another persons view. Why this time Donald you didn't any other time over other JW doctrines, but you choose this major WT doctrine to do so.
Then he says "I believe the number is literal, but that it would not matter if it wasn't"
Is this doublespeak or what!!
He believes its literal, but it wouldn't matter if it wasn't. In other words he is not in total agreement with the WT over the teaching.
Shows great confidence in the WT teaching then.
I'm afraid that Donald has given a prime example of someone controlled by the Watchtower.
When he expresses an opinion oppossed to the WT teaching, he suddenly feels he has to backtrack and apologise to his Watchtower God for daring to doubt what they said.
I mean we can't have "independant thinking" in the organisation now can we, someone might learn the truth.
