Hi Silverfox,

Yes, is is unusual to be speaking about such a thing in a school. I was surprised that I was allowed to be able to talk on this subject myself actually.

The school does have a Roman Catholic sort of background, but the girls who attend the Christian uni are evangelicals. I am not sure where the teachers who were present at the talk stood spiritually.

Although it is uncommon for schools to have someone come in to give such a talk as I did, it is not uncommon for groups of Christians to be allowed in to give a Gospel message.

In fact, we have a group here called "Youth for Christ". They are very busy going into schools all over my local area to talk about Christ. They are actually very popular with RE teachers here as they can come in to take a whole lesson and give the RE teacher a break.

With all that said, I can see a day coming (probably not too far away) when the goverment will clamp down on this.

Even though these words were applied to the disciples, Jesus' words come to mind: "Work while it is still day for the night comes when no one can work."

Are Christian groups like Youth for Christ not permitted to come into schools to speak in the US?
