Hi Rachel,
Just going to the fest for research purposes and to try and be a friend to the person you speak of certainly seems to be o.k. See my earlier post I put up today for some more on this. But even this can be dangerous as the occult is very alluring. You also seem like someone who is ready to drop ther guard to some degree anyway, as your friend/s seem to be winning you over. Freindships are fine, but the Bible does tell Christians that they sould not be yoked with non-Christians. I think this would mean letting them lead you astray into worldliness and away from God.
However, from what you said in your initial post, it seemed that you had more in mind than simply this, and this is why some here have cause for concern:
Rachel: "I think that i have found what was missing in my life and have now devoted myself to a new path spirtually and i know that its the right thing for me.Im not turning my back on the church completley but there is definatly room for learning a lot more about others faith."
You cannot mix Christianity and paganism together. I have written a couple of articles to this effect which may show you how the two are incompatible:

Also, there are even pagans who recognise that Christianity and paganism are incompatible. See this here:

Balancing on the fence between the two will mean that you will fall off. Please reconsider.
