Departure album is a very special one to me. This marked the last official album with Greg Rollie. This was and is still one of the best Journey collaberations ever. and yes it will never happen again I wish nothing but peace love and good health to Steve Perry. I saw you on the walk of fame and I stared at ALL of you amazing people. I was frozen in time. I was 16 years old again with my Neil Schon afro. I took the time to tske it all in. You w=may never know how each album represented a time in my personal life. i love Some Day Soo, People and Places and Stay Awhile..well I did that day and went home a better man for it....

A friend of mine had a Steve Perry solo cd a couple years ago on which Steve does a cover of Aretha Franklin's "Call Me" - I think the cd was titled Love Songs or something like that. I would really like to get this cd - has anyone else heard of it - anyone know how to get it?? please email me and let me know: michaels.garcia@hotmail.com

Wow! There is not a track on this album that does not shine.
Great production with rich melodies... with the sonic energy and clarity from "Anyway You Want It" to "Precious Time" I wish what the producer and band did then on analog could be brought out with the Journey of today on digital.
I like the phase shift on Neils guitar on "Precious Time."
That is cool. I also like how "People and Places" builds from Gregs' simple synthesizer sounds to Steve Smith's drum sounds. Hey Neil and band could you guys add this one to the live shows? That would kick butt!!

All I can say is wow. I am a big fan of Steve's and if I were him I'd bawl my eyes out to see just what people can truely do for someone who doesn't get half the credit he deserves. Your page has inspired me to go on as a singer and song writer. Please keep on giving this man what he deserves. He has one of the most soothing and mesmoreyezing voices to ever step foot on this dark world. To be honest. I just got this song called Faithfully..We all know it. It's the first time I've ever heard him sing live. I started crying harder than I've ever vried before. I decided to get on the web and try to find Steve Perry. Get ahold of him and just open up to what he has done to me tonight. It literaly changed my life as a musician, and a person. I never knew just how big he still is. So me searching for him is a lost hope I think. But I can share it with a fan. Thank you for your page. I've learned so much about Steve tonight. Please keep on going with this. Again I thank you.

A lot of fans feel the same as you, James. I saw Journey at the Warfield in Concert in San Francisco this past weekend and Journey still rocks! Although the new front man, Steve A., is a decent substitute, we all know that NO SUBSTITUTE can truely inspire us fans as Steve Perry can. But I will still continue to go to Journey concerts as long as the band continue to play well and make good music. Thanks for your thought, James, and good luck to your music career.
