My world is my own

The world is my prison and life is my crime
To live so alone till the end of all time
I long for the days where one we would be
I yearn for the times when my soul you did free

Life is no more than a game for the soul
And love is the prize the only true goal
The hopes and the dreams that only you give
The food for my soul the reason to live

My world is my own come and lay by my side
Our love is so pure so why should we hide
To share what we have in the way that we do
My world is my own but my love is for you

Never alone with a you by my side
No more need I suffer no more need I hide
I gave you a love that was meant for no other
A love that sets free and not meant to smother

So I dream of a time where my life had a meaning
Our feelings wrapped tight in a blanket unseeing
The butterflies fly in my tummy each day
I hope and I pray that forever they’ll stay
