Subject: A Leather Bound Book

Along the streams of light
in the silhouettes of blue,
Comes closer toward me
as my thoughts construe.

An outline of a gentleman
so handsome and sweet,
His face appears clearly
with an expression of replete.

My hands began to shiver
and my heart skipped a beat,
As his eyes twinkled
beneath the suns heat.

He grasped my hands
and kissed them both,
He smiled so gently
and recited his oath.

His pledge to me
his heart and soul,
To bring me happiness
to make me whole.

He promised to love me
in sickness and health,
To honor and obey
in poor or wealth.

He said he'd stay forever
until death do us part,
He'd give himself fully
his soul and his heart.

He promised to be kind
and cherish our life,
He to be my husband
myself to be his wife.

He kissed me ever softly
with his vow now said,
Looking into my eyes
a tear he did shed.

I kissed the tear gently
slowly before it fell,
I vowed the same oath
with the sound of a bell.

Our hearts grew with love
with every breath we took,
You can read our journeys
in a leather bound book.
