Subject: Were I In Iraq

As an American soldier what would I do?,
What could I do except to defend my life.
If I were an innocent Iraqi citizen what would I do?,
What could I do except to run and hide from this violence.

So what does a Sadaam Hussein dictator loving terrorist do?,
He kills Americans in order to restore a mass murder regime.
Those helpers then driven from land and the helpless crying,
Crawling on hands and knees to be beheaded by fake saviors.

Word freedom ripped from lips of those who dare to speak it,
Again under heel of them who would rape and plunder at will.
Camouflaged angels of hope now looking much more inviting,
Wishing new dreams coming back to cast out old nightmares.

Were I in Iraq,
I would see the reality rather than warm television screen.
Soon to turn cold as many at home switch off compassion,
Their hearts still beating yet frozen with uncaring apathy.
