Subject: Listen You Might Hear

Rambling thoughts from this poet you've never read.
Gambling I can write words for those ears in your eyes,
For a mind needs no sounds to absorb my simple scribbles;
A little self sarcasm also keeping own ego safely at bay.

Sitting on top of dreams that come to me when they want to,
There are times though they appear with my eyes wide open.
I've seen peace hold millions without even touching them;
Seen evil touch brains with a frightening invisible embrace.

Have watched my hand move with pen across many a page,
Many times wondering what has really lead it there.
Still I just go with the flow of ink turning to letters,
Amazed everytime as they all turn into words understood.

Of course some are misunderstood being the nature of things.
I just thank my Creator each night for this gift granted me,
Without it here I may as well have no lungs to breathe,
Thinking without these expressions I may surely wither away.
