Subject: Her Beauty Humbled Me

Yes it was true her outer beauty was exceptional,
Yet it was her inner beauty which sang her life song.
I know as I heard it with every waking lovely moment,
I lived more days than ever deserved with a real angel.

How can one contemplate beauty beyond description,
Thinking I've done it still I truly do not know how.
To live with heaven lying next to you is most awesome,
Being embraced by it experienced only by the receiver.

Now I lay here with nothing but emptiness to compare,
It cannot even soothe me let alone give me a hug.
Is this the hell that even atheists have spoken of,
A silent desertion which never let you know it was there.
