Subject: Exploration Of The Mind

Now, I promise, when I wrote this I hadn't seen Robert's submission. Purely coincidence.

Confusion surrounds my state of mind,
The lack of clues that I find,
He torments me even when he's not here,
Some times I wonder if I'm living in fear.

I wake every morn to a cheerful day,
Until the night comes and I lay,
Wonderous thoughts of what's to be,
Whether I am to stay or flee.

How can I feel so alone inside,
To feel I have fully died,
What has he left me, but a scarce thought,
Of so many times we had fought.

I pray my past will leave me be soon,
To be able to soar far beyond the moon,
To face the future with hope and trust,
I know that I have to, I know that I...must!
