Speaking from the point of view of a working adult attempting to go back to college and finish his degree in a state with some of the highest tuition rates in the country, I can see where college can be seen as a large financial hurdle at almost any income level. However, speaking from the point of view of someone with very very limited financial resources who is quite certain he will be able to attend and finish college I have no patience for people who claim they can't afford it. Anybody can. THe system is designed so that you need almost no money. Maybe you need to start in junior college, work while in school and take loans, but there are very few situations where a college education is not affordable.

I hadn't heard anything about RIdge and the cost of education - where did you see it?
